How Will I Increase Clinic Revenue?
To increase my clinic revenue, I first look back at the past 5 years in business and the revenue streams there.
My first year? A 300% increase in revenue. Whoa. That was also covid, so let's not really count that one 😅.
My second year? A 129% increase in revenue.
Third year was an 87% increase in revenue
And my 4th year was a 57% increase in revenue.
This past year- which included me not treating for an entire 6 months and having 2 clinical staff- saw a 39% increase in revenue.
Side note for all of you with money mindset issues (like me) - you know how I feel about those numbers? Proud, but neutral. I honestly don’t give a f**k. Why? Because they don’t reflect how hard I’ve worked on my business. They don’t reflect who I am as a person. And they sure as hell don’t reflect my business success. Because business success isn’t just measured in numbers.
Business success is measured in the lives you touch, the community you build, and the impact you create—numbers are just a byproduct of the difference you make.
So why do I feel like I can increase my revenue by 100% in 2025 despite more clinics opening up near me and a clear decline in my own revenue year after year (which, by the way, is very normal!)?
I don't think I can, I know I can.
These 3 strategies are at the top of my list for increasing my revenue this year:
Expanding our reach through marketing & partnerships
We're going to be rewarding patients for making referrals to us with a referral bonus that they can use as credit on their account, we plan to create at least 3 new relationships with providers each month and make a calendar of when to reach out to providers we already have relationships with, create flyers to post at places like daycares and swim schools, and utilize social media & email marketing campaigns to help drive new and current relationships with our patients and community.
Increasing Prices
Listen, as a business coach, I love to tell you to increase your prices. As a bleeding heart practitioner though, I HATE raising my prices. But it has to happen! Our clinic has been at the same prices for almost 2 years, so starting February 1, they'll be raising by about 10%.
Classes, Events, and Workshops
Partnering with other businesses and doing self-contained classes, events, and workshops are a great way to meet people and use those OT skills to draw them into working with you! And even if they're not interested, it's important so that they can refer their friends to you. We'll make sure to have them sign up for an email list as well so that we can send them all the neat stuff we do at the clinic!
Are those the only way to increase my revenue? Absolutely not! I could also increase patient caseload, treat more myself as the business owner, expand my services & offerings, and a plethora of other strategies. But those are the top 3 that would work best for my clinic in 2025.
